A global leader in the hearing aid manufacturing space presented us with the challenge of creating recordings in 32 diverse languages for both male and female voices. This endeavor required securing voice talents from countries where cultural and linguistic nuances, including variations in word usage and gendered language conventions, needed careful navigation. For example, a “bar” might be known as a “pub” elsewhere, and a word might sound or be spoken differently if spoken by a male or female in some languages.
The technical restriction that each phrase should not exceed 1.3 seconds added another layer of complexity. Ensuring translations were accurate and sufficiently concise required numerous iterations, leveraging our translation expertise to streamline the process and maintain consistency across languages.
