Audio Formats and Revisiting My Holiday Tradition.

Four years ago, I shared my ‘weird’ holiday tradition of cleaning and wrapping the artwork in my living and dining rooms to add to the festive Christmas look. Each year, we select a new, two-sided wrapping paper for this task. This year, we shopped online for wrapping paper, and in the hustle and bustle of online, pre-holiday craziness, we overlooked one particular detail.

Did you know wrapping paper doesn’t all come in a long roll? I didn’t until now.

So the paper isn’t big enough to cover any of the larger pieces in our collection.

Houston, we have a formatting problem!

Overlap and align two pieces.

There, now it will cover the entire piece.

Tape the corners in place.

Of course, there’s a visible seam now. Time to get creative with ribbon!

Next, we bling it up with a bow.

Hang it back up on the wall for all to admire.

Now the collection is complete.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Traditions to all!

Earlier this week, one of our customers called to report a problem loading a holiday production onto their USBi Digital Announcer. They, too, had purchased something online for the holidays. The production was an on-hold 48 kHz, 16-bit WAV file that would not load.

Had they ordered their on-hold messages production from Marketing Messages, we’d have delivered it in the correct format for their digital announcer: a 128 kbps MP3 file.

As our gift to them, we generously converted the file and sent them one that would load just fine.

If you think I’m a whiz at decorating art as gifts, you should see me work with audio files. Since 1998, I’ve recorded, edited, and formatted audio for proper playback on auto-attendants, interactive voice response (IVR) systems, and message-on-hold players worldwide. Our company has been providing professionally recorded voices since 1984.

With our industry experience, a roster of voice talents in over 80 languages, and translation services for each, we’re a one-stop shop for all your professional audio recording needs.

And yes, there’s still time to buy before the holidays. Share your holiday tradition with us while you place an order online.
